Justice begins when every widow knows her rights and has the confidence to claim them

Justice begins when every widow knows her rights and has the confidence to claim them. It calls for laws that protect, institutions that uphold fairness, and communities that stand against discrimination while promoting equality and dignity for all.

We brought together widows, legal experts, partners, and stakeholders during our Post-International Widows Day Commemoration in Mombasa County to spark conversations on justice and legal protection for widowed persons. This created a safe and empowering space for widows to learn about their rights, share their experiences, seek legal guidance, and strengthen their confidence to pursue justice without fear.

We believe that every widow deserves to be heard. Every widow deserves to be protected. Every widow deserves equal justice under the law.

We continue to advocate for a future where justice is accessible, rights are respected, and no widow is left behind.
