Capitalization of lessons learned on gender equality into Ebola epidemics in the DRC

Dear colleagues,

I am incredibly happy to share with you this research paper: ”Capitalization of lessons learned on gender equality integration into the 10th, 11th, 12th and 13th Ebola outbreaks in the Democratic Republic of Congo”.

Crises, disease oubreaks are not gender-neutral. The tenth to thirteenth Ebola epidemics generated significant knowledge and have shown that the effect on gender varies significantly.

This paper presents some of the main takeaways on gender integration based on lessons from the above-mentioned outbreaks.

Ebola-related interventions to the 17th #Ebola disease outbreak – caused by Bundibugyo ebolavirus (BDBV) – in the DRC and Uganda and countries at risk (#Rwanda, #Kenya, #Tanzania, #Angola, #Burundi, #CentralAfricanRepublic, #RepublicofCongo, #Ethiopia, #SouthSudan and #Zambia) should not overlook gender-related considerations.
