I often imagine a world where women supporting women is not the exception but the norm and, in that world every girl grows up knowing that her dreams are valid and her voice matters. She is surrounded by women who encourage her to learn, lead, and believe in herself. Instead of being told what she cannot do, she is reminded of her potential and given opportunities to explore it.
In that world, women do not see each other as competitors for limited opportunities but they see each other as partners in creating a better future. When one woman succeeds, her success is celebrated because everyone understands that her achievements open doors for others. Women share knowledge, resources and opportunities freely knowing that collective progress is more powerful than individual advancement.
For women and girls everywhere, such a world can mean greater confidence, safety and freedom. Girls can stay in school because communities work together to support their education. Young mothers can have access to mentorship and economic opportunities instead of facing judgment and isolation. Women experiencing violence can find caring networks ready to support them and advocate for their rights, so no woman has to struggle alone.
I know how transformative women's solidarity can be because I have experienced it myself. Living in Uganda, I have seen how encouragement from other women can change lives. Through World Pulse, I connected with women from around the world who believed in me, listened to my stories and inspired me to keep moving forward. Their support helped me gain confidence in my ability to serve my community and pursue my vision of empowering women economically.
One woman whose support has had a profound impact on my journey is a sister from North America. She believed in my vision and demonstrated the true meaning of women supporting women through her fundraising efforts. She contributed every single cent she could and mobilized support from people within her circle to help women in my community. Her generosity and commitment elevated my community work and expanded the opportunities available to the women, girls and families I serve, it was not much but sure the warmth and love behind it did magic. Her actions reminded me that meaningful change often begins when one woman chooses to stand alongside another and invest in her dreams.
Today, I am working to establish an organization that helps women generate income from start up to smaller existing ones so they can support their families and keep their children in school. I also mentor young girls and teenage mothers, many of whom face challenges that can make them feel alone and powerless. What I have learned is that support does not always require great wealth or influence, sometimes it begins with listening, encouraging, and reminding another woman that she is capable of achieving more than she believes.
Creating a world where women support women requires intentional action, we can start by creating safe spaces where women and girls can share their experiences without fear of judgment. We can mentor younger women and girls, helping them navigate challenges and discover their strengths. We can celebrate each other's achievements instead of comparing ourselves to one another. We can amplify the voices of women whose stories are often overlooked and stand together against discrimination, violence and injustice.
We can also build stronger communities by sharing skills, opportunities and resources. When one woman learns something valuable, she can teach another and here is when Kirthi comes to the mind of every single woman on this platform as a group in the single monthly gatherings like encourager party , when one woman gains access to an opportunity, she can open the door for someone else and many will agree with me especially those we collaborate with. Small acts of solidarity, repeated consistently can create powerful changes.
The world I imagine is not impossible as it is already taking shape wherever women choose collaboration over competition, compassion over judgment and solidarity over silence right here on World Pulse. Every time a woman mentors a girl, supports another woman's business, speaks up for someone's rights or simply offers encouragement during a difficult moment, she helps build that world. A world where women support women is a world where women and girls can thrive. It is a world where dreams grow stronger because they are carried by many hands. It is a world where no woman walks alone.
That is the world I hope to see and it is a world we can create together because we are always stronger together.
