Rise Before Life Passes You By

I’ve realized something powerful: God can raise a dead person, but He will never raise someone comfortably sleeping in their bed. Think about that.

We often wait for life to “happen” to us, expecting some magic moment to shake us awake. Yet, more often than not, that moment never comes unless we decide to move, to push ourselves beyond what feels safe or easy. Comfort is seductive—it lulls us into a quiet life of ‘what-ifs’ and postponed dreams.

I’ve been there. I’ve stayed in jobs that drained me, in routines that numbed me, in relationships that didn’t challenge me. It felt safe, but safe doesn’t equate to growth. Safe doesn’t lead to transformation. Safe can feel like protection, but often, it’s just inertia disguised as security.

Mental health isn’t just about therapy or meditation—though those help—it’s about taking action for your own sense of purpose and fulfilment. Sitting still when you feel stuck fuels anxiety, self-doubt, and even depression. Moving, even in small ways, creates momentum, rewires your brain, and reminds you that you are capable of more than you think.

I started by doing tiny things outside my comfort zone: volunteering, speaking up in meetings, applying for roles I didn’t think I was ready for. Each small step built confidence and resilience. Each discomfort became a teacher, showing me the power I had inside all along.

So, I’m telling you, don’t wait for life to shake you awake. Don’t wait for a crisis, a perfect opportunity, or a cosmic signal. Get up. Step into the uncertainty. Move toward what scares you a little, what excites you a lot. That’s where growth happens. That’s where life really begins.

Your comfort zone is a beautiful trap—it’s cozy, familiar, and harmless… but it won’t raise you, it won’t challenge you, and it certainly won’t bring out your unshakable strength.

Get up. Step out. Do something. Your future self will thank you.
